The holiday season has always been my favorite time of the year, and the one last year was definitely one of the loveliest I have had and I got to catch the moments on my analogue camera. I feel like it's getting personal when the pictures are taken on the roll and once it's developed, the pictures stay with us forever in some way. I love the feeling of trusting completely in my camera, take it as my lone camera for particular moments and just let it be. And so I just kinda don't have to worry too much about whether or not taking 'good pictures' and just enjoy the moments along with the pictures.
This time on holiday season I tried something new, which was having Christmas dinner just the two of us at home aside from our traditional dinner together with the parents. I cooked oven-roasted duck for the first time ever and it turned out very well! Yay! It tasted unbelievably delicious, unfortunately a lil' bit greasy but my man loved it and that's all that matters. We also picked up our Christmas tree pretty late (at the 15th!) due to our experience last year (it was sadly drying out over Christmas!) but this time it lasted 'till the first week of January so we were very happy about it. These calm and peaceful moments I would never take for granted made my heart feel full and belongs to those moments in life that is worth holding on to.
