Hello guys and I hope you had a great week so far. I am busy with my papers lately and it feels like I will never be done with them. I mean, the ones that due to next week are totally finished and I have been focusing with the one that due to next month. It's actually a term paper, which I absolutely do not underestimate. I want it to be a great one tbh, into which I put a lot of effort. But this kind of pressure stresses me out lately that I need to do something else to de-stress myself every once in a while. I call them lovely things just because it brings me so much joy and realize that life is as beautiful as it is. Funny thing is that I do it automatically, just like when I am hungry and I'll go eat something.
So what exactly are my lovely things?
- Make a pancake and watch my favorite series.
- Look out the window while the sun is rising.
- Sitting on the couch and my man lays down his head on my lap.
- Take a long hot bath after work.
- Long hugs.
- Snuggle up under a blanket with sleeves.
- Have a face mask on.
- Laughing so hard with my man at inside joke.
You see, those little things do not even cost anything at all and I feel so blessed while doing my lovely things. You just have to stop and appreciate your life and be present in the moment. When you feel down and the world is against you, take a look around and be grateful because the world is your oyster. At the end of the day, it's actually only you against yourself.
